Pamela A. Mann, the principal of the firm, opened The Law Offices in 1996 after leaving her post as Chief of the Charities Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s office, a position she held for over a decade. She brought with her into private practice not only her wealth of experience assessing the legal issues faced by exempt organizations but also a unique insight into the workings of the State’s highest regulatory authority for exempt organizations. Her experience and insight have proven invaluable to our clients—whether we are handling litigated matters, such as claims of breach of fiduciary duty, misuse of restricted assets, and disputes over election and dismissal of officers or corporate transactions which may be reviewed by the Charities Bureau as well as the Internal Revenue Service for their consistency with an organization’s charitable mission. All of the attorneys of the firm are experts in the full range of issues facing exempt organizations. Drawing on their varied skills and experiences, they provide legal representation of the highest quality to our clients, as well as timely advice and feedback. The firm takes great pride in the work our clients do, and we view our legal representation of them as a rare privilege.
